Customer On Hold

Customer On Hold

A customer can be temporarily put on hold to suspend transactions.  On the customer record, usually under the Finance tab, there is an On Hold setting.  When checked the customer is put on hold.

When an On Hold Customer is selected on an order, the customer name will appear in red and be tagged as On Hold.  A warning message will also appear on the screen.

Any open sales transactions for a customer on hold will not be able to be promoted.  For example, if there is an existing Sales Order for an On Hold customer, this will not be able to be promoted to a Delivery/Invoice and a warning message will appear.
